Katie James Ramps Up For Her Single Release

BuzzSlayers | January 24, 2023

In a new single release from Katie James the artist delivers a wondrous and smoothly woven contemporary pop single that keeps undertones of an Americana taste along with a youthful and energetic soundscape that has the ability to keep you glued.

"Black Coffee" is a fantastic display of James's presence as an artist and singer but also showcases her ability to write radio friendly songs that are Tastefully performed and come with all the bells and whistles you could possibly want from a song like this.

This track paints such a vivid picture and allows you to formulate this in your head as the song plays out and I think that's part of what makes the song so addictive really. It's almost like an escape in a way. Like reading a good book.

When the song is ended you want to go back into it. This is also great because that doesn't happen a lot. Nothing about this song is over the top. Even the performance is done in a graceful manner and it's warm.

Being able to take the listener on a little bit of a musical journey is always an important aspect for songwriters. These Journeys are different for everyone of course both songwriters and listeners, but being able to tell that story properly and let the listener go along with it is a wonderful thing.

One of the best things about this song is that you can clearly hear her absolute love for her craft in every note, from top to bottom.

This song has heart and it's got some soul as well. Singles like this should have as much heart as possible and there is a balance between too much and too little.

James manages to walk that line and she does it with such a great character that it comes off bright as well as welcoming.

You can definitely hear the song in an episode of Gray's Anatomy or a film because it does have that kind of cinematic backbone to it, and it's driving.

This is a pop song. It's not a ballad it's not slow, it's fun and feel good and it has that fantasy element.

All these things are part of why this song has such a perfect radio feel to it almost like you've been listening to the song on the radio for a few years now.

Well guess what... you haven't. As a matter of fact, the song doesn't release until the 27th.

We just wanted you to be a little bit more prepared for it.

Now, you'll be able to find it at any of the links below and I definitely suggest checking out her Instagram because you can also get a good feel for her character there.

You won't be bored trust me.

In the meantime, keep a lookout for "Black Coffee" out on the 27th on all platforms.
